Service Description

Monitoring services for phase I-III clinical trials are provided for North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Monitors are largely dedicated for multiple studies for our company. A functional service provider model is used.

What Went Well

Parexel is able to recruit worldwide and come up with cost effective solutions. The amount of CRA travel is reduced. Continuity of service is maintained.

What Could Be Improved

Price can be better for other support services such as regulatory. Certain regions can be supported that are not today. Proposal turn around can be faster.

Lessons Learned from the Experience

A large CRO like Parexel can deliver custom cost effective solutions. However, the large size does not always correspond with ability to support every need even in the CRO's core business.
