Service Description

Covance was contracted to conduct both ADME and Toxicity testing for a large number of drug candidate compounds. The testing needed to be conducted in a very short timeframe (five business days) in order to maintain project deadline requirements.

What Went Well

The ADME and Toxicity testing needed to be conducted on a rush basis. Covance was able to meet our project deadline requirements, and actually completed the project prior to our deadline date. In addition, the testing conducted by Covance appeared to be highly accurate, they communicated results back to our lab in a very timely fashion, and the quality of their final report was excellent.

What Could Be Improved

The CRO met all of our expectations. In our opinion, nothing could have been improved upon. In short, we received quality test results within our required timeframe, at a cost to us which was fair and reasonable.

Lessons Learned from the Experience

Covance demonstrated not only that they could provide quality testing services, but that they could also meet client deadlines and provide excellent service and support. The level of communication between our lab and the CRO was quite high. This was a perfect example of two laboratories working together in a partnership mode toward achieving a mutually positive result.
