Tumorigenicity and genetic stability
Date: September 25, 2014
Service Description
KI was contracted to perform tumorigenicity tests in mice of our active substance, based on human umbilical cord-derived mesenchimal stem cells. Furthermore, KI was contracted to study the genetic stability of the same cells by means of kariotype analyses.
What Went Well
The positive elements of the service are mainly the quality of the work done, as well as the quality of the people and facilities involved.
What Could Be Improved
The main improvable aspect was the communication as well as the overall price paid, which was high.
Lessons Learned from the Experience
We have learned that paying a high price not always is accompanied by a high standard, not in the quality of the technical services, but more in the quality of other factors like communication and cost/benefit ratio.
